FalkenvilleYesterday I went and fished falkenville. I fished two legers and used pellets on both rods. As i was setting up my second rod, I had a take on my first rod I hooked it, but it unfortunatly came off. I then had to wait a while for another take but it finally happened and i landed a nice 3lb carp. Then I had two takes at once which was quite mad, I struck them both and luckily hooked both of them I put one rod back on the rod rest and quicly landed the other one, it was a small 1lb 8oz carp. Luckily the other fish was still on, it was fighting quite strange and I landed a chub, not massive, but a nice change to carp. During the day I caught several more carp, biggest was 8lb. As I was about to reel in my rods, I picked one up and started to reel in, then suddenly the rod went over and I was into a fish, I was sure i must have foul hooked it, but when it came within netting range I got a massive shock, I had hooked another chub and I could see the pellet hanging out of it's mouth! When I unhooked it my hook was cleanly in it's bootom lip, it must of took it when it started to move. The chub was a similar size to the first one. It was a ncie day and it was nice to catch two chub, I didn't even know there were any in the lake, so to catch two was a big shock. [ ]
